I took the bait last week and sounded off on spritzes, along with the rest of the internet. But in the week since, the weather improved, I was able to actually sit and drink a few, and I was reminded that it’s not about the spritz itself — it’s about the Vibe.
Right now, I feel compelled to sip a sparkling drink in an airy bar, ideally beside a big window thrown open to the street. I want to wear something light but also fashionable, something linen or one of the oversized button-downs Armie Hammer wears in Call Me by Your Name. And I want to linger there, unhurried by any waiter or bartender, and savor aperitivo hour for as long as possible.

- Restaurants known for their natural, organic wines are starting to produce their own — most notably Frenchette, the downtown NYC darling and recent James Beard Award winner, which is working with French winemaker Laurent Saillard on a pineau d’Aunis and gamay blend called Ette. (As is to be expected, the label design is on point.)
- Architectural Digest’s made-for-millennials subbrand Clever has named its 2019 Cleverest Awards, including eight kitchen products.
- For those whose home decor vibe is Aggressively Nautical, Target’s zillionth designer collaboration — this time with Vineyard Vines — has arrived with whale-printed dishes, cheese boards, and placemats. For something subtler, check out the striped cloth napkins.
- Ever wish you could wear your latte on your nails? Never? Okay. Just in case, Dunkin’ has announced a nail polish collab with Lauren B. Beauty “inspired by and named after Dunkin’s Signature Lattes and Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Flavored Coffees.” There’s… lots of brown.
